Erasmus+ UK Agency Ecorys praises Journey to Work !

Young people have rated Journey to Work with a high degree of satisfaction

Co-funded by the eUThe project Journey to Work 4 has been graded as very successful by the Erasmus+ UK Agency Ecorys. More important, the target group were VET graduates or young people at risk of NEET and their participant reports show a high degree of satisfaction among the attendees. Most of the participants stated that all the challenges they faced were a good opportunity to learn and to grow. Below comments and remarks about our Journey to Work Programme:

Journey to Work meets the Priorities of Erasmus+ 

The assessment outcome of Ecorys states that our project detailed well how the aims have been clearly met. It has evidenced how it clearly meets the priorities of ERASMUS+ KA1 VET mobility. Ecorys; ‘The project Journey to Work 4 has developed the capacity of the lead organisation in developing its management and coaching skills.

‘Supporting their wider journey into employment’

It has effectively used numerical targets to evidence how it has met and in some cases surpassed the precise aims and objectives of this project and has evidenced how it tried to work around the culture, attitude and feelings of the young people in relation to work. It has evidenced how it has supported the participants to gain these overall wider skills; thus supporting their wider journey into employment. It is positive to see that a large number of the participants have found work, and some were offered jobs whilst on the placement.’

Effective Project Execution

Ecorys is very satisfied about the execution of Journey to Work 4: ‘The project has shown how clearly demarcating the roles of partners supported in the effective execution of this project. There were good communication and management procedures in place.

The project has been strong on mentoring steps and the use of quotations and evidencing the learning journey of the participants. A clear evaluation model was used. It has outlined the tools that were used; how and when they fitted into the project life cycle and the results and learning that were collected. Within the impact section, all target groups have been addressed. It has outlined how working together has developed more understanding and opportunities between the partners. The project has been very strong on disseminating its results. There are some good concrete examples from personal journeys to highlight the success of this project.’

This is a very positive outcome since the project targeted people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.’
